Prrrefect "English" Park Day

On Sunday we went back to Prospect Park, the weather was how can I say "English". We even had fish & chips and a little drizzle which made for a perfect English day.

Ju Ju was so funny talking up a storm "Oliver, regard regard...comparer à mon pull, c'est un chat", tres chic as ever!

Oscar was his usual giggly self, he's such a rolly polly bundle of fun!

I want to Ride my Tricycle II

Saturday Morning Oliver woke at his usual time,
he was in the mood for some serious cleaning!

Armed with his trusty "Spray" water bottle, he went to work...

 "Cleaning"

"More, more" OK I'll get you some more water...

 "Yes"

Oscar & I watched as the bee bee finished up and
tried out his clean machine.

Parklife! - Prospect Park for a Day

Last Sunday Michael, Genevieve & Juliet pick Oliver and me up to spend the day out in the glorious Prospect Park.

After a good sleep Oliver and Juliet visited the ducks in there
natural environment.

There were Canada Geese which Juliet told Oliver that is where her Mum is from...

 "Quack, Quack, Quack!!!"

Careful throwing the bark Oliver, here comes the swan!

This action shot of Ju Ju mid-slam is pretty cool, I like that Oliver is watching with his stroller, modern day role reversal!

"Eeeewwww! Is that dog kaka? Oh no, its just dirt!"

 "Wait for me!"

Oliver managed to find something he loves to do,
"En garde mon ami!!!"

Oscar's 1st Cereal Meal!

Last Weekend Oscar had his very first taste of "real" food. I am not sure I would call rice cereal real food but he seemed to like it!

He was so into his food that he even tried to feed himself...

"See Daddy, I told you I could do it myself!"

REDHOOk

Before the fire and all the stress that followed we had a beautiful Labor Day in Redhook. Before the annexation into the 12th Ward of Brooklyn, Red Hook was a separate village. It is named for the red clay soil and the point of land projecting into the East River.

Even today it has a maritime charm, the weather that day was spectacular!

Here's a good shot of Bethzaira and the boys, (Oscars in the back!) You can even see the Statue of Liberty in the background.

There is a mixture of old with new, these railroad tracks would have supplied the warehouse now studios and shops...

In the local neighborhood even the street art has an archaic New York feel...

Underlying tones of gentrification...

These stores were very nice, we had a great brunch across the street on a cafe/bar called Fort Defiance. Named after a fort that was built in Red Hook during the Revolutionary War in the weeks leading up to the Battle of Brooklyn.

Tiburon, or shark in Spanish.

More great nautical maritime charm...

This was the local yacht club...

Only in Brooklyn!

We found this cute little character stowed away in one of these giant pots!

Where's Oliver? "I dunno know, there he is!"

"OK, Daddy it's hot get me out!"

These were studios and stores, really great spaces...

Reminded me of London docklands.

Redhook beach, not quite the Caribbean but still nice to be by the seaside for the day.
